greetings

say hello when people join, goodbye when they leave, and thank you when they boost: a message, a card drawn for each person, or both.

turn it on

open your server in the dashboard, then modules & commands → greetings. welcome, leave and boost each have their own switch and channel, so you can use one, two or all three.

send a test posts the greeting in its channel, about you, so you see exactly what people will get.

what it says

each greeting is made of words, a card, or both:

  • write: a plain discord message, with markdown, emoji, mentions and variables like {user.mention}.
  • a saved message: one of your server's saved messages. change it in the library and the greeting changes too.
  • design: the full message builder, with embeds, pictures and buttons.
  • a card: a picture from your server's cards, drawn for each person and attached.

roles and dms

  • welcome: give roles as soon as someone's in, take others (a "new here" role another bot gave), and send a welcome dm too. people with closed dms just don't get it.
  • wait before the roles: with membership screening or during a raid, the roles can wait a while, and are only given if the person is still here.
  • boost: roles that stay while they boost and go when the boost ends, and a thank-you dm.
  • on every boost: arii thanks each boost, a member's second and third too. it hears them from the message discord itself posts for a boost, so your server needs a system channel with boost messages on. the boost greeting shows whether that's set, and turns it on for you.

bots that join

bots never get the welcome, its dm or its roles. they get roles of their own instead (a "bots" role, say), even while the welcome is off.

more than a hello

greetings say hello. at the same moment, a flow can do anything else: give roles by how old the account is, ping your team, or note it in a log.
